Refund Policy
A legal disclaimer
At Opal and Oak Events, we understand that life can be unpredictable. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while recognizing the time and resources invested in planning each event.
Refund Policy - the basics
Deposits
All deposits are non-refundable. This secures your event date and covers the time and effort put into the initial planning stages.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your event:
-
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the event may be eligible for a partial refund (excluding the deposit), depending on services already rendered.
-
Cancellations made within 60 days of the event are non-refundable, as significant planning and coordination will already be underway.
Rescheduling
We are happy to accommodate rescheduling when possible. If your event is postponed, we will do our best to apply any payments made toward the new date, subject to availability and any additional costs that may apply.
Force Majeure
In the case of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control—such as natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government restrictions, or other emergencies—Opal and Oak Events will make every reasonable effort to reschedule your event. If rescheduling is not possible, any refunds or credits will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the work already completed.
If you have any questions about this policy or would like to discuss your specific situation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
